HOW TO PRAY FOR THOSE WHO SEEKING GOD AND TO DIRECT THEM

Prayer for Those Seeking God

Dear Heavenly Father,

We are told in the Bible if we will seek first the Kingdom of God and Your righteousness that You will add all the other things that the people of the world seek after (Matthew 6:33). May they realize you sent Jesus Your son to die for them on the cross and if they come to You confessing and forsaking their sins, You will forgive them and give them eternal life. This new life is to begin now. The moment they invite You to come into their heart You will change them so they can live for You, and Your purposes, and no longer live for self.

Lord, give them the peace and assurance of Your presence as they reach out to You. Reveal Yourself to them, Father. Heal them from their sickness and deliver them from all bondage of sin.

Bless them and may their new walk in the Spirit be one that brings glory to Your name! Amen.

What You Should Do Now!

The Word of God says, "...and him that come to me I will in no wise cast out" (John 6:37). We have included a sample prayer and when you agree and pray it (or one like it from your own heart) the Lord will hear AND FORGIVE YOUR SINS now!

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come to you with all my sins, my burdens and addictions. Wash me in the precious blood that Jesus shed for me when He died on the cross. Break the chains of sin and of Satan in my life and family. I surrender to you and I want to be yours; spirit, soul and body, for time and eternity. I put my faith in you alone, Lord Jesus Christ. You are the only begotten Son of the Living God. I believe with my heart what I now confess with my mouth: You are my Savior, Lord and God. My sins are now forgiven and I have been "born-again!" Old things have passed away and I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am a child of God. I believe it and I receive it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. AMEN.

Steps To Take For New Believers

We would also like to encourage you to continue in your faith by doing the following things:

(1.) Seek out a good Bible believing church and share your decision to follow Christ with the body of believers there and ask to be water baptized.

(2.) Pray everyday. Daily ask God for His guidance and wisdom and the power to lead the overcoming Christian life. Confess your sins to Him quickly, and never fail to give Him thanks for all of His blessings to you.

(3.) Read your Bible every day. This is one of the primary ways that God speaks to you. The whole book is a letter to YOU! The best way to begin to know Him is simply to read about Him. Read the four Gospels first - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Then begin to read other books in the New Testament. Read Romans, read 1 John, read Revelation. Read all the books in between. As you read, ask God to make His word alive and real to you. Ask Him to speak to you through His Word. Tell Him you want to know more about Jesus! Then, as the Holy Spirit directs you, begin to read the Old Testament. There are many "types and shadows" of Jesus in every book of the Old Testament. There are countless prophecies referring to Him. All of the Old Testament points ahead to Christ, the cross, and to the redemption of mankind. All of the New Testament points back to the cross. All of history hinges on that cross. The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most important event in human history.

(4.) Begin a good Bible Study Program. We have one available on this site plus many other Bible teachings.

(5.) Meet with other Christians and attend church as much as possible. This will encourage you and strengthen you. It is God's desire that all His children fellowship together. God has a place for you in His Body. You have something unique to offer that no one else can do in quite your way. (Refer to 1 Corinthians 12:12-31).

Hebrews 10:24-25 says, "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

We pray that God will lead you to a fellowship where you will be able to worship with others. There is great strength and power that we receive when we fellowship with each other. God made us dependant upon each other because we all have something to learn. We are the body of Christ. The Body may function without one of it's fingers but the finger cannot survive if it is severed from the rest of the Body.

(6.) Ask God what you can do to serve Him. This is an integral part of "growing up in God." God has a special place for you in His body and he longs to use you to lead others to Him and serve His people. He calls all of us to witness and share with others what He has done for us.

(7.) Resist Satan and temptation! As we begin to draw closer to God, we enter into a realm of spiritual warfare against the evil god of this world. He is the one who is whispering lies of condemnation in your ear. He will do everything he can to keep you from reading and believing the Bible. But the good news is, he is powerless against the power of God. Tell him to LEAVE in the name of JESUS! "Submit yourselves therefore, to God. RESIST the devil and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).

(8.). Ask for the Holy Spirit Baptism. Another important "key" in our walk with God, is receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Have you received this gift with the evidence of speaking in other tongues? If you haven't, ask God to baptize you in the Holy Spirit. When you speak in tongues, you are praying over the most important things that need prayer in your life. It is a powerful and important link in your relationship with God. It will empower you to lead an overcoming Christian life as all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to those who ask. Seek a fellowship of believers that teaches the Full Gospel.

Luke 11:11-13:
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If yes then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

God loves you dearly and has plans to use you for his glory. He would use you to be a light to this dark world. Most of all though, He wants you as His dear friend. He died for you! We are praying for you. Don't give up--just keep moving forward, closer to God. You will NEVER regret it! He is the most priceless treasure in the entire universe--. He is everything you have ever wanted, and more.

LOVE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

God's love for mankind
Love is one of the attributes of God and an essential part of His nature:
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.( (1 John4:16)
Our relationship to God is like the loving relationship between a child and parent. Like a loving parent, God knows and cares deeply for each of us:
Like children, some of us return God's love, and some do not. Nevertheless, He loves all of us. God's gifts of love and salvation are freely offered to all, even to those who choose the path of wickedness instead:
He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. ( Matthew 5:

Love the Lord your God
Jesus said our most important responsibility in life is to love God:
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' (NIV, Mark 12:28-30)
We demonstrate our love for God by obeying His commandments and Jesus' commandments (Luke 11:28, John 14:21-24, 2 John 1:6), putting our trust in Him (John 14:1), maintaining a humble attitude (Matthew 18:1-4, Luke 18:9-14), and by prayer (Matthew 6:9-13, Luke 18:1-8).

Love your neighbor
Our second most important responsibility in life is to love other people. Jesus went on to say,
The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:31)
In His Parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus explained that we should consider all the people of the world to be our "neighbors." Just as God loves all His people, so should we. Jesus calls us to extend our love even to our enemies!
You have heard that the law of Moses says, "Love your neighbor and hate your enemy." But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and on the unjust, too. If you love only those who love you, what good is that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Matthew 5:43-48)
The apostle Paul said that Christian love is the greatest and most essential of all the spiritual gifts. Even faith is worthless without love!
If I speak in the tongues of mortals and of angels, but do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away all my possessions, and if I hand over my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3)
Paul went on to describe the nature of true Christian love in this beautiful passage:
Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end... And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love. (NRSV, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, 13)
I
God is the source of all our love. Loving God and loving other people are so interrelated that we cannot have one without the other:
We love because he first loved us. Those who say, "I love God," and hate their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also. (NRSV, 1 John 4:19-21)

Jesus greatly expanded the scope and importance of love, saying love of God and love of fellowman are the most important of all the commandments. The apostle Paul said Christian love was the greatest and most essential of all the spiritual gifts. Throughout the New Testament, we are encouraged and commanded to live in peace with all God's people ( Romans 12:17-18) and commit ourselves to genuine love and caring for others ( 1 John 3:17-18). Those are the ways we can put our faith into practice in everyday life.
